Alumni Ari (2005) and Robert (2003) Axelrod star in two Nov 08 Productions Ari stars as Captain Keller, Helen Keller's father, in "The Miracle Worker" at Skyline High. Lindsey Beaver '05 and Adam Carbeck '05 also appear. Robert stars in "Return to the Forbidden Planet" at Huron High.
Former HDS Student Opens Ann Arbor Jewish Book Fair on November 5, 2008. Ilana Miryam Blumberg's “Houses of Study: A Jewish Woman Among Books,” won the 2008 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature Choice Award and was a Runner-Up for the 2007 National Jewish Book Award in Women's Studies. Ilana attended HDS from 1976 to 1980.
HDS has a new kiln! Thanks to the support of Garry Turner and Denise Garden, alumni grandparent Harriet Siden, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor, HDS students will soon be able to use a new kiln.
Seeking artistic renditions of the new HDS mascot The Lion is our new HDS mascot! Submit your design for the Lion by NOON on Dec. 12, 2008. The winning design will be used on school apparel and other school-related material. Click on the link for the full contest info and forms.
