Hebrew Day School - Ann Arbor, Michigan Judaic and general studies, Immersion Hebrew programs

Physical Education

Hebrew Day School students participate in gym class twice a week facilitated by an experienced physical education teacher. Gym class takes place either in the new (in 2005) gym in the Jewish Community Center wing of the building, or outside in the extensive fields surrounding the school. Students participate in team sports of every sort, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, kickball, floor hockey, and in the process learn about team play, and how to react appropriately to both wins and losses.

The school participates in the President’s Fitness Challenge and awards are given to students who meet program goals.
