- Executive Director, Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor
When I lived in Baltimore my children were young and attended a Jewish Day School because I know how much easier it is to establish a strong Jewish identity early than it is to do so later in life. In Ann Arbor, working every day in the JCC building I have the opportunity to watch the students at Hebrew Day School and to speak on occasion with their parents. If I have to sum up in a word what I see, it is warmth. I see an atmosphere of caring and community in this school. I wish my kids had enjoyed the same.
