  • What do you love most about Hebrew Day School?

Rosh Chodesh (new Jewish month) celebrations where the whole school gathered with parents and friends and celebrated together.

Why did you choose Hebrew Day School for your child(ren)?

We thought the bilingual education would be stimulating intellectually and the small class size and individual attention would help our shy girl blossom and become confident.

In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at Hebrew Day School?

Emma came out of her shell and performed at every talent show with a supportive and loving audience. She developed critical thinking skills and tackled numerous independent projects across a range of subject areas, which included both science, history. She developed a vocabulary for her artwork and discovered she loved wind instruments and especially the oboe, which she was introduced to through Klez Kids.

In what ways has Hebrew Day School prepared your child(ren) for their next school?

Emma was extremely well prepared for public middle school at Slauson. She was well organized in keeping up with her homework, able to communicate effectively orally and in writing and appreciated the greater diversity and options offered by a large middle school experience.

What would you tell other parents who are considering enrolling their child at Hebrew Day School?

It is a wonderful launch pad into the world where your child will be cherished and their identity and talents nurtured.
